Monday, 26. September 2005, i have my first day at the University of Applied Siences in Salzburg and i was surprised by the good organisation. The new campus “Urstein” is very beautiful (lot of glass and steel) and i like my colleagues.
I also have got my timetable(very nice, only 20h a week) and i liked nearly all academics that are on it.

At the current Microsoft PDC conference there are a lot of new products presented, but there is one that is an eyecatcher.
Microsoft Sparkle
Sparkle is a little bit a mix-in of MM Flash, MM Director, Adobe Illustrator and MM Dreamweaver. As Tinic Uro wrote on his blog it is a WOW.
On Channel 9 there is a video demo where you can see the features of Sparkle. I was really impressed by this multimedia publishing program and i am sure there will be more to read at the time Windows Vista will be published.
Google has announced a new feature. The blogsearch.google.com domain offer a textinput field in common google style, where you can search for blog topics that interest you.

Last Friday i have downloaded FireFox 1.5 Beta and i happy to see, there is no heavy change on the well designed GUI. The Beta version is sometimes unstable but i think this are only cross-platform problems in the Beta-version. I work with FireFox since its release a few months ago and i never will touch the IE again.

At my company there was always a problem with realistic an unique game charakters and good looking game objects in pseudo3d or ISO games.
In the last 2 years we have always implemented free 3d models which you can get at 3dcafe or something like this.
Now our CEO has decided that it will probably easier to let an employee learn a 3D-tool like 3d Studio Max.
The first result could be seen at our new race game “Rat Race” which will be published in the next 2 weeks.
Today we at P.I.C.S. Gmbh have launched the first release of our Mode7 engine. At seat.at you can now try to beat the race time of your opponents. There is also something to win, have a look.

Alessandro from http://sephiroth.it has launched a new version of his image gallery tool. Its GUI looks like Picasa2 from Google. It is very powerful and smooth. There are also some new features from Flash8 implemented.

Maybe some of you know the famous game FastFroots from the company Extrajetzt which has made some furore the last year.
We, at our company thought about it and then we decide, we will do it. In previous Summer (2004) i have developed a Mode7 prototype for power demonstration of flash games. This year in fall their will be the two releases, on for SEAT “Testival” campagne and one for Spielzone.at
